Small details, thoughtfully handled
Simple tools for the moments before you head out, touch up or take a closer look.
Choose your mirror orientation and tap to hide the controls. Mirror tone independently adjusts image warmth, starts at Natural and resets in a tap.
Lighting uses the display to illuminate you. Choose Frame or a larger Panel layout, then adjust warm, natural or cool light, intensity and emitting area.
Freeze a view, then pinch and drag to inspect it. The frozen image retains your selected image tone. A 3-second timer gives you time to get into position.
Save the visible frozen view with its image tone and crop preserved. LumaPeek requests permission to add photos, never to read your library.
Screen illumination varies with your display, viewing distance and surroundings. Mirror tone is an optional image adjustment. These controls are not calibrated color temperature or measured light output.
Ready in a few taps
Allow camera access to see the live front-camera view. There is no account to create.
In Light, use Lighting for screen illumination and Mirror tone for image warmth. Frame and Panel change the emitting area; image tone starts at Natural.
Freeze the view or use the timer. Your selected image tone is applied once and retained when you save the visible view. Return to Live to clear the temporary image.
A private moment
Live camera views, image-tone adjustments and temporary frozen images are processed on your device. LumaPeek does not upload them.
Version 1.0 is entirely free. It has no ads, subscriptions, in-app purchases, trial or paywall.
No. Live views and frozen images stay on your device. A temporary frozen image is cleared when you return to Live or leave the app. Only images you actively save are written to Photos.
Camera access enables the mirror. Add-only Photos access is requested only when you choose Save. LumaPeek does not request microphone access or permission to read your photo library.
In Light → Lighting, the iPhone display illuminates you using a surrounding Frame or a larger Panel background. Adjust light hue, intensity and width or area. Where supported, the app attempts to retain an ambient white-balance baseline while lighting is on. The result depends on your screen, distance and surroundings; the presets are not calibrated color temperatures.
In Light → Mirror tone, Warmth changes the mirror image independently of screen illumination. Natural is the default, and Reset tone restores it. Processing stays on your device. The same treatment is used for live and frozen views; saving retains the frozen image’s tone without applying it again. The image adjustment can be used with Fill light off.
LumaPeek is designed for iPhone with iOS 17 or later. It follows your iPhone language preferences and supports English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Other languages fall back to English.
The App Store link will appear here after release. Version 1.0 is planned for overseas App Store distribution, excluding the China mainland store. Availability will depend on the final selected territories.
